Good afternoon to all our Lightning runners and families. It is with a heavy heart that I share the following message from Dr. Baseman regarding fall sports. Please know that if and when we can enter back into some type of phase 2 workouts, I plan to have those who want to continue, to do so. In the meantime, continue to take good care of yourselves. Run, stretch, do your core work, and get good rest. Remain positive and hopeful that we will be competing on the course this school year. Please know that I along with all of your cross country coaches are here for you if you have ANY questions or need anything. I will continue to give you updates whenever I receive them. Take care everyone!!

Good Afternoon AN Head Coaches/Advisers,
Since the AASD Board of Education’s decision to begin the 2020-21 school year fully virtual on Wednesday evening, many meetings have taken place regarding a variety of topics in the District. Co-Curricular sports and activities have been part of those discussions. After hearing from the WIAA Board of Control today, the following decision has been made:
High School Fall Sports Season Shifts to Spring
Due to ongoing safety and health concerns related to the pandemic, the AASD will take advantage of an alternate fall sports season opportunity for high school athletes that was recently approved by the WIAA. This means that the upcoming fall sports seasons for golf, performance teams, football, boys and girls volleyball, soccer, tennis, cross country, and swimming will be shifted to a spring timeframe. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
